Tariq Starr's Official Bio

“Tariq Starr” was born on February 18 in Jersey City, NJ. Starr was partially raised and now resides in Atlanta, Ga. The 21 year old singer/songwriter has taken music to a whole new level with creative edge. Writing and co-producing his ABD (Album Before Deal, something Starr coined himself) “The One”, and taking the position as the boss of his career, he is now ready to give the world all that they’ve been missing. His name is presently unknown, but he’ll soon become a phenomenal and permanent mark in the entertainment and music industry.

He gives his audience raw, sensual, and rich vocals but he exudes confidence and also maintains a real and down to earth character; bringing high energy, enthusiasm, and amazing stage presence to every performance. From his looks and style to his hard dance moves and sex appeal, he’ll surely get the people talking. Tariq Starr was put on earth to do this. Growing up in a musical family, Starr had no choice but to catch on to the tune. He has interacted and learned from celebrities & recording artists such as Tyler Perry, T-Pain, Akon, Tank, Soulja Boy, Letoya Luckett, and many more.

Currently Tariq is more driven than ever. He insists that the world get to know him, deal or no deal. Even with a very silent buzz, once Tariq hits the streets, the world will be forced to take notice and labels will grow to love the brand of Tariq Starr. Anyone that knows him calls him “Superstar”. His music speaks from the heart and is described as “real and relatable to all….its what music should be, mixed with a new generation of sound”.

Starr is ready to release the “The One”, which is slated for a summer 2010 release. With a tight budget and literally little to no help, he worked with what he could make possible and managed to create incredible music, which have some of the music business top industry heads watching. “The One” is described as R&B, Hip-Hop, and Mainstream Pop; showing diversity, edge and expresses a personality that many can relate to. “The One” is written entirely by Starr and features some local Atlanta rappers and some of the hottest producers on the come up. While penning songs for his ABD and local rappers’ singles, you can catch Starr on a few feature records coming out later this year. Tariq Starr is slowly paving his way to a bright future.
