Tariq Starr Breaks Silence on New Record, Endorsement deals and more!

Fans and supporters of Tariq Starr have been tweeting and sending emails about the next move for the singer. Starr has been a little quiet lately, but he is busy prepping a new musical disc due in Spring of 2012. After raving reviews of his debut mixtape "The One", which was strictly an R&B record, where starr was eager to find that special woman. Tariq says "That was where I was at the time, I was looking for love. But unfortunately that never happened." This past summer the singer-songwriter released a viral music video for "Chooz'n", the 1st single off the mixtape, with the storyline where he was torn between two women. Starr explains "I've been in that situation before, not exactly like that! (he laughs) but something dealing with choosing between two beautiful women. I actually wrote a couple of treatments for the video, due to changes, I ended up making the storyline more interesting with a twist." The video was shot strictly for the fans of the single.

Lately fans may have seen Tweets and Facebook stats regarding the new record he will start recording later on this month. The record is projected to drop next year Spring, with a single release sometime around February-March. "I'm so ready to get back in the studio and work on some new tunes. I have grown, witnessed and been through a lot since my last project. I'm gonna give the people what they want and at the same time stay true to myself." The new record will be R&B with a touch of Hip-Hop, but the songster will tap into some new things as well. "It's gonna be different. I'm clubbing on this record, we're gonna celebrate" he says, "Of course there will be some love songs on there, but I'm taking you straight to the bedroom, we making babies." he continued in an old country man's voice. While partying and making babies, he also wants to do an inspirational song. "I make music for the people to relate, we as humans go through so much on a day to day basis, so I definitely want to touch on some real situations. I'm gonna get a little personal, I'm breaking the silence!"

No songs, producers or features have been confirmed as of yet. But Tariq is receiving track submissions and demos from major/upcoming Songwriters & Producers. "On the last project I wrote every single record by myself, on this one I want to work with other dope songwriters and producers. I am very hands on, so I'm still gonna write on most of the songs", He told us. Starr has been making appearances at various events including Luda-Day Weekend and the 6th Annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, which was this past weekend in Atlanta. "I met so many people, made a lot of new connects and so many things are in the works" says the singer, "Management offers are on the table, deals are being talked, man I'm just working." Speaking of deals, Starr has been in meetings with a couple different clothing lines to endorse their brands. With the new EP, Record Deal offers and Endorsements, Tariq Starr will be doing big things at the Top of the year. Also stay tuned, the cameras will be following him while recording and gearing up for the release of the new project.

Tariq Starr preps the "Chooz'n" video premiere! *UPDATED*

Tariq Starr shot the video for the lead single "Chooz'n" a couple weeks ago in Atlanta. The clip was directed by Ultimate Films and is scheduled to debut the week of June 20. This will be the first music video offering off of "The One", which was released in December 2010, which got a 5 star rating in many Mixtape markets.

*Update*: The video doesn't have an official premiere date just yet. Dates are being worked out. BUT there will be a Premiere Party in Atlanta before the official world premiere of the video. So stay tuned....

Continental Airlines will celebrate it's 16th year of Black History programming at the Newark International Airport. This year’s celebration will be especially significant as it will be our last official celebration under the name of Continental Airlines as we transition to become one with United Airlines.

This Fashion Show Event will take place on Wednesday Feb 23, 2011 in Terminal C. There will be 2 shows 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm.
